w+f poetry in the park

boy reading poetry in the parkI was so proud of these kiddos of ours this morning!  We went to our wild+free poetry in the park morning to share and listen to poetry.  Courben shared a couple poems and seemed unfazed by having to stand in front of a large group of people.  Judah was brave and stood up with me while I read a Psalm he had picked out.  Gracelyn decided last minute to read from “I Have a Wocket in my Pocket” and do the “I Had A Little Frog” chant from Music Together.  I even shared a poem I had written, which was actually more intimidating than I had expected.  All the kids were so respectful of one another and clapped even if they could barely make out what someone was reading or reciting.  It was a beautiful morning!
