It was another wild and free Wednesday. We hiked another metro park and found ourselves at a Native American burial mound; these things are all over the parks here. They can sometimes be anticlimactic, but this time we checked out a model beforehand that had miniature skeletons in it, which made it a bit more real.
We spent time nature journaling, eating, and playing afterwards. As the mamas chatted, we heard tales of pirate ships and organized drama productions all being played-out at the natural play area. Courben recounted the morning by saying, “I love it more than anything…well, after God and Legos.” The kid’s got priorities!
