school, week 33

Lots of our lessons and studies are winding down since we’re so close to the end of our school year. We had been studying individual states for Geography, so this week, I got out our state puzzle to see if they could put some of what they’ve learned into practice. They’ve definitely gotten quicker at locating and placing states. We’ve also continued our copywork, freewriting, read-alouds, and math. There has been lots of pirate play this week, too, because of our recent watching of “Peter Pan.”  Bandanas, guns, eye patches, and treasure hunts have taken over the boys’ free play time. I love watching them act out stories and be creative!
