It’s flex week around here since we’ve finished another nine weeks of school. We spent the week looking back at what we’ve learned and adding pages to our portfolio. We’ve also gotten in a good amount of play together. Today, we were in the Revolutionary War. We took turns trading parts between American soldiers, injured soldiers, and doctors. This has all sparked from reading about Molly Pitcher, Ben Franklin, Johnny Tremain, and Crispus Attucks. We’ve also been watching a video series called “Liberty’s Kids,” which is about two teenaged reporters who travel around witnessing various parts of the war.
It’s been an intentionally slow week, and we’re thankful for the ways God met us in the slow. Next week is a rest week and we’re all quite pumped!
