Since the word we’ve been given for the next year as a family is rest, I wanted to be more intentional about teaching the boys about abiding. I’ve come to learn that abiding looks like lots of different things. So, for a half hour in the afternoon, the boys can choose a way to abide with God. Courben typically chooses to sit outside and observe God’s creation. Judah typically listens to Christian music.
Today, Courben chose to read a couple of chapters in Luke about Mary and Elizabeth. He also ended up in the dictionary at the end of Bible. “Mom, what’s foreskin?” Oh dear. He was reading about circumcision and is now very curious about that process. Ha! Good times this afternoon.
