There are certainly days when I’m reminded that Courben does take after me in areas of his little life. Every time we tuck him into bed (whether for nap or bedtime), he asks, “When we’re done sleeping, where are we gonna go? Who’s going to come to our house?” I got tired of answering these questions after about a month, so I made him his very own calendar. I made pictures to go along with our regular activities (shopping, music together, missional community, zoo trips, etc) and pictures of all the people we spend time with. Each day, I put the day’s activities and the people they involve. Now all I have to do is direct him to his calendar and he can “read” his plans.
